- Briefing: hand signals, equalising your ears and how to breathe through the regulator.

Try dives don’t need swimming skills or a certificate. Operators commonly set a minimum age of around 10, so share everyone’s age when you enquire.
Check with a doctor before diving if you
have a heart or lung condition, asthma or epilepsy, have had recent surgery, have ear or sinus problems, or are pregnant.
Best time to dive
October to May. No boat dives during the monsoon ban (roughly late May to mid-September). Visibility ranges from a few metres to about 15 m.

How much does scuba diving in Goa cost?+

Can non-swimmers do scuba diving in Goa?+
Yes. Beginner try dives are designed for people who can’t swim: an instructor stays with you the whole time and you stay in shallow water. Tell SRC if you’re nervous in water so they can plan your dive.
Do I need a certificate for scuba diving in Goa?+
